Higher Education Competence center for Educational Development And Research in higher education Within CEDAR (Competence center for Educational Development And Research in higher education) we work on research, development and implementation to improve education at the HSG and beyond. CEDAR consists of three areas, allowing us to develop teaching and learning based on research. Faculty development CEDAR provides comprehensive activities on the individual level. The focus is on the improvement of faculty’s educational skills. CEDAR offers a certificate program (CAS) and various seminars as well as individual coaching and consulting for teaching faculty. Program development CEDAR also focuses on the study-program level. As any study program consists of different curricular elements and learning activities, it is important that these parts are consistent. We emphasize organizational and constructive alignment of the different elements. Institutional development and research On a more macro level, CEDAR conducts research on teaching and learning in higher education. Next to that, we also work on the organizational level by strategically consulting on educational development in higher education institutions. All activities in these three areas follow the CEDAR Vision. You find the Vision under «downloads».
